 Here is a description of what we collect:

Cans

• All aluminum or steel food and beverage cans
• Examples:  Coffee, juice, and pet food cans
• They need to be rinsed out.
• Aerosol spray cans
• Aluminum food trays/foil
• Aluminum Pie Plates

We do not take the following and mixing these items will contaminate the other recyclable materials:

• Paint cans

Glass

• Clear, brown, green and blue glass food or beverage bottles and jars
• remove tops and rinse, labels can be left on

We do not take the following and mixing these items will contaminate the other recyclable materials:

• Ceramics, crystal, cups, dishes, light bulbs, mirrors, safety glass or window panes

Plastic

• Bottles, jars, beverage containers and food trays that are coded 1,2,3,4,5,6, and 7 
• remove lids and crush
• plastic bags, cups, flower pots
• Totes, bins, laundry baskets, crates, tubs (ex. Butter) and buckets

We do not take the following and mixing these items will contaminate the other recyclable materials:

• Motor oil bottles, toys, wrap or Styrofoam

 Newspaper & Cardboard:

• Waxy inserts okay, includes junk mail
• Any type of Box

We do not take the following and mixing these items will contaminate the other recyclable materials:

•  wet newspaper or wet boxes

The above recyclable materials can be commingled in your recycling bin, please do not use your totter to store your materials.

Please take notice of the change in the recycling plan: The county has expanded the types of material that we are aloud to take.  Please keep preparing the materials as usual.
